From Investor to Advocate: My Journey as a Financial Advisor
I bought my first stocks in 1982, guided by a broker—as many investors did back then. But after the market crash of 1987, I uncovered a hard truth: the advice I’d been given wasn’t aligned with my best interests. That experience planted a seed. I realized that too many people were navigating complex financial decisions without the education or advocacy they deserved.
During an early career transition, I made a pivotal choice: to become the kind of advisor I had once needed. I entered the financial services industry not just to manage portfolios, but to empower individuals and families with knowledge, clarity, and confidence.
Today, as an Investment Advisor at JI Financial Services LLC—a Registered Investment Advisory Firm—I serve clients across Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Arkansas. My approach is methodical, transparent, and deeply personal. I specialize in retirement readiness, Social Security strategies, and succession planning, always with a focus on long-term impact.
Beyond the office, I’m proud to serve as President of the Rotary Club of Baytown, where I lead community initiatives, fundraisers, and disaster relief efforts. Whether involved community service, mentoring future leaders, my mission remains the same: to build trust, foster resilience, and help others thrive.
